Course Description

This course provided by the National Association of Community Health Centers and may require a secondary registration and/or login. Please Note: This course costs $149.

As a result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, many Medicaid programs are turning to managed care in order to control costs as eligibility expands.  Furthermore, many previously uninsured patients will purchase subsidized coverage from managed care organizations (MCOs) operating in the State health benefit exchanges.  Due to these changes, many MCOs have entered new markets, seeking contracts with health centers. This webinar will describe strategies that have been successful in negotiating contracts with MCOs that maximize revenue, reduce burdensome requirements, and retain existing health center patients.
