Many considerations are factored into whether a health intervention should be offered or continued. Increasing concern over the rising cost of health care in the United States has resulted in heightened interest in not only the cost of health programs or outcomes of health programs alone, but the relationship between the costs and outcomes of a health program. This tutorial provides an overview of cost analysis, which is a common tool used in economic evaluation.
